Documents
Documents required for repatriation
We collect the full package together with our local partner — the family only needs to provide a passport and basic identifying details.
Death certificate
Issued by the authorities in the country where the death occurred.
Sanitary permit
A local health authority permit for transporting the body.
Sealing act & non-enclosure certificate
Issued when the zinc coffin is sealed, together with an inventory of belongings.
Translations
Certified translation into Russian or Belarusian for entry into Belarus, when required.
Legalisation of the death certificate
Apostille or consular legalisation — the exact procedure depends on the country; we confirm and handle it.
Transport document
AWB (air waybill), CMR (road) or a baggage ticket (rail), depending on the chosen method.
After arrival
Belarusian death certificate & inheritance
Once the foreign death certificate is legalised and translated, it can be used to register the death at a Belarusian civil registry office (ZAGS), which issues a Belarusian death certificate. That document is what a notary needs to open an inheritance case. We handle the legalisation and translation as part of the transport package — the inheritance procedure itself is handled separately by a notary.
